GOOD
FARMING MAKES GOOD INGREDIENTS
Sometimes
we forget that the first, simple principle to choose and experience
good food is to know where it comes from and how it has been grown.
For us, this learning represents the beginning of an adventurous
trip that brought us in the search of good, clean, extraordinary
raw ingredients.

MORE
THAN 130 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Blanqa
is an idea of the Padova family: four generations of almond and
olive growers also known as Mastri di San Basilio. A
story born in Sicily: a unique island, where agriculture means far
more than growing plants. Since 1888 our family dealt with lands,
weather, people, experiences, aiming to make the best possible agriculture
in total respect for the territory and is natural life cicle.

GOING
STRAIGHT TO THE SOURCE AND KNOW
THE PEOPLE, THE LANDS, THE FARMING
At
Blanqa we put our know-how in agriculture at the service of
the most exigent chefs or simple gourmets. We do this by sourcing
the best raw materials in their original habitat. Knowing the people,
the lands, the farming first, we select the produces. The same raw
materials we use to make our semi-finished and finished products
complete our offer of gastronomic excellence.

KNOW
THE PEOPLE
It
is amazing how a farmer can affect the final quality outcome of
his produce, either in a positive or negative way. Getting to know
the farmer/producer well will tell us a lot before we are going
to taste and assess his products. Yep, in the digital era it is
still a matter of good vibes. Awesome, isnt it?

KNOW
THE GENIUS
Genius
loci is Latin for talent of the place. In our case
talent is the miracle match between soil, position,
plant genes and weather. This is what differentiates an extraordinary
ingredient from an ordinary one.

KNOW
THE MATERIA
We
are not talking about rocket-science here, but to be real enjoyment,
food must be seen from a serious angle. On these premises we harness
the state of the art in food research laboratories, all of them
have SINAL and ISO certifications.
Our food passes two tests:
- Sensorial (must have outstanding taste features);
- Chemical (must be clean and healthy).
